Ijeoma Nwachukwu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Microbiology from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu, Nigeria and a Master of Science in Non-Profit Management and Leadership, Walden University, Minneapolis, USA. She is currently a doctoral student (Public Policy and Administration) at Walden University. With over thirteen years of voluntary and working experience in the non-profit sector, she is well-grounded in creating viable and sustainable programs. Over the years, her portfolio within the organization has risen. While she was the Program Officer, Fundraising /PR, she developed a viable fundraising portfolio with a mix of donors which catered for over 400 Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Lagos, amongst others. She has also administered service delivery and capacity-building interventions with related stakeholders while continuously monitoring and evaluating the outcome of targeted development projects for the organization’s beneficiaries. In 2012, she was appointed as the Program Director, Bethesda Child Support Agency. She developed and implemented several initiatives to raise funds and provide other psychosocial services to the organization’s beneficiaries. Her dedication towards empowering vulnerable people is what propels her to be a leading social entrepreneur who will ensure that vulnerable populations are the primary beneficiaries of development policies and projects. Today, she oversees the administration, programs and strategic planning of the organization’s activities. She is also responsible for fundraising; financial planning and management; human resource planning and management; project planning; operational management and leadership. Her core values are Social justice, Integrity and Service.
