SCHOLARSHIP
This program involves linking children on our Wait List with educational institutions, individuals, and corporate organizations who take up the responsibility of sponsoring their education.
It was the first of Bethesda Child Support Agency’s initiative and started in 2001. Through this program, six (9) of our beneficiaries have graduated from tertiary institutions like the University of Calabar, Obafemi Awolowo University, Redeemers University, Ibadan Polytechnic, and Imo State University.
SCHOOLS-IN-POOR COMMUNITIES
This initiative aims at setting up schools in poor communities that offer free and quality education to Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in the community.
Since the inception of this program in 2004, we have set up four (3) primary schools and two (2) secondary schools with over 800 beneficiaries in the Ikota, Matogun and Ijaiye-Ojokoro communities in Lagos.
HEALTH24
This program focuses on sustainable development and community ownership of projects. It also serves as a platform for us to extend our support to rural communities.
Setting up our schools has given us access into various communities. These communities have been receptive, unique and diverse in terms of cultural outlook, population and demography. Through Health24 – our Community Service program we have engaged stakeholders in bringing help to the children and caregivers in the different communities we have visited by providing Health Care interventions.
The Health 24 Project is a community health initiative where we provide free medical services and nutritional support to children and caregivers. This event also features a community sensitization segment on health habits, usually facilitated by Public Health Practitioners, and distribution of mosquito nets to families, for the prevention of malaria.
