It was an exciting and interactive moment as the staff volunteers from FCMB engaged our students in fun DIY activities like:
- Bookworm - a “read-a-thon” activity.
- My African Reading List - a vision board activity aimed at promoting reading culture among children.
- My Personal Values -using pictorial illustrations to explain which personal values they would like to apply every day.
- Story Reading- aimed at helping students point our moral lessons from a reading passage.
Each of these activities gave our children room to fully express themselves, be independent and keep exploring their creativity.
Don’t just take our word for it – check out some of the activities:
We can’t believe this moment ended quite early, and we still can’t stop thinking about how much fun we had. Our children almost didn’t want to go home. Thanks to FCMB team for volunteering to mentor our children.
PROJECT BE group mentoring program is changing the narrative for disadvantaged children. Through this program, children living in poor communities connect with people from different walks of life who mentor and inspire them to become all they could ever dream of.
